• Middleware infrastructure definition. Configuration and deployment of infrastructure components is required to support application integration. This involves deploying standard reusable components that are unique for middleware integration of key areas such as security, redundancy, monitoring and error handling as well as the adapter components that provide the framework that links each of the common database architectures together.
• Middleware package selection. Technical requirements and the selection process include vendor demonstrations, impact assessment and application architecture. INGATE provides the core requirements, vendor alliances, scoring framework, gap analysis and initial installation.
• Middleware integration deployment. Design, deployment and testing of the integration components utilize the client's selected middleware technology.
